At BritishLearning.UK, we firmly believe that when you empower teachers, you transform generations. That is why, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, we undertook a landmark project in partnership with Rotary District 3141 to train the dedicated teachers of St. Thomas School, Kanderpada, Dahisar – a school serving a large number of underprivileged children from the slums of Mumbai.
These children often grow up in environments marked by poverty, overcrowded homes, unemployment, and unstable family conditions. Many face serious emotional and psychological challenges such as:
Without the right intervention, such challenges can severely impact their learning outcomes and emotional well-being.
To address this, BritishLearning.UK fully funded an intensive 6-month Diploma in Child Psychology for the teachers of St. Thomas School—a project costing several lakhs of Indian Rupees. This internationally accredited teacher training programme, based on our Diploma in Child Psychology curriculum, equipped educators with the knowledge and tools to:
✅ Understand complex child behaviour patterns
✅ Identify and address emotional and developmental issues early
✅ Build trust and stronger teacher–student relationships
✅ Create safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environments
✅ Apply evidence-based strategies for behaviour management and emotional support
Our commitment didn’t stop with the training. We deputed a dedicated Child Psychology Expert to the school, providing ongoing mentorship and guidance so that the new skills are not just learned but actively applied in real classroom scenarios.
The Awards Ceremony celebrated not just the completion of a course, but a long-term commitment to changing lives. Together with Rotary District 3141, we are ensuring that teachers are better prepared to meet the psychological and emotional needs of children growing up in some of the toughest environments in Mumbai.
✨ At BritishLearning.UK, we believe the right training doesn’t just change classrooms – it changes futures.
