REFUND POLICY

British Learning and Accessories Private Limited

This Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all payments made to British Learning and Accessories Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (“British Learning”, “the Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”), for any services rendered by British Learning through its website www.britishlearning.uk or any associated digital platform.

This Policy forms an integral and binding part of the Terms of Service and User Agreement and shall be read in conjunction with the same.

1. Scope of Applicability

This Refund Policy applies uniformly to all services offered by British Learning, including but not limited to:
  • Online education, digital courses, certifications and diplomas
  • Applications for and memberships of the British Learning Research Council (BLRC)
  • Memberships of Certified Training Centres (CTC)
  • Fellowships, research mentorships, repositories and academic publications
  • Academic services, verification services, identity cards, transcripts and related offerings.
No distinction is made between different services unless expressly stated in writing.

2. Uniform 24-Hour Refund Policy (Unconditional)

British Learning follows a simple, transparent and consumer-friendly refund rule.

A 100% refund of the amount paid shall be granted if:
  • A refund request is sent by email to support@britishlearning.uk, and
  • The request is received within twenty-four (24) hours from the time of payment.

No justification or reason is required from the User within this 24-hour window.

3. Refund Requests After 24 Hours

Once 24 hours have elapsed from the time of payment, no refund shall be issued under any circumstances, irrespective of:
  • Whether the User has accessed or not accessed the service
  • Whether the programme or membership has commenced or not
  • Change of mind, personal reasons or inability to continue
  • Dissatisfaction with content, structure, format or expectations
  • Non-attendance, partial participation or non-completion
  • Academic, professional, research or publication outcomes
This condition applies equally and uniformly across all British Learning services.

4. Refund Processing Method & Timeline

  • Approved refunds shall be processed only to the original mode of payment used by the User
  • Refunds are normally processed within 7 to 10 working days, subject to banking and payment gateway timelines
  • British Learning shall not be liable for delays caused by third-party payment processors, banks or financial institutions

5. Taxes and Transaction Charges

Statutory taxes or non-recoverable payment gateway charges may be deducted only where such charges are not refunded to British Learning by the payment processor.

7. Fraud, Misrepresentation or Breach

No refund shall be issued where access or participation is terminated due to:
  • Fraud, misrepresentation or suppression of material facts
  • Breach of the Terms of Service or applicable law
  • Misuse of platform, content or institutional representations

Termination in such cases shall be without refund or compensation.

8. Electronic Acceptance & Click-Wrap Enforceability

This Refund Policy is electronically accepted and legally binding.
By performing any of the following actions, the User expressly confirms that they have read, understood and irrevocably agreed to this Refund Policy:
  • Clicking “I Agree”, “Accept”, “Proceed”, “Enroll”, “Submit Application”, “Make Payment”, or similar buttons
  • Completing any online form, registration or membership application
  • Making any payment through the Platform or authorised payment gateways
  • Accessing or continuing to use any British Learning service
Such electronic acceptance constitutes a valid and enforceable contract under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and applicable consumer laws, and shall have the same legal effect as a physically signed document.

No physical signature or additional confirmation is required.

9. Waiver of Electronic Acceptance Objection

The User expressly waives any right to dispute the enforceability of this Policy on the grounds that it was accepted electronically or without a handwritten signature.

10. Legal Compliance

This Refund Policy is framed in compliance with:
  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019
  • Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
  • Indian Contract Act, 1872
  • Information Technology Act, 2000

British Learning treats all online education and academic services as “services” under Indian law and discloses refund terms transparently to avoid unfair trade practices.

11. Final & Binding Nature

This Refund Policy is final, binding and non-negotiable.

No verbal assurance, sales communication, WhatsApp message, email or marketing material shall override or modify this Policy unless expressly stated in writing by British Learning.

British Learning reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and send your item to: {physical address}.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
